interim

Lizzy’s new favorite book and (another) new sling for me — as much as I love the Moby, this baby would nurse day and night without pause if she had the choice, so we are trying the Maya for its purported nursing friendliness…

Gorgeous greenness, not-too-hot days, cool nights…

Newborn snuggle love…

Mom’s fabrics for a sweet little quilt that she’s cutting tonight…someday I’ll get back into the groove, too…

I got a letter today from Ft. Jackson (that’s where Richard is) informing me that he will graduate from BCT on August 28th, and that I can be there with him on the 27th AND the 28th! In looking at the calendar, that really isn’t so far away. South Carolina, here we come!

Just a few more days at Grandma’s house before the girls and I start settling into our own little lily pad (half of me is excited and half of me is petrified)…

Scared is good. It makes us stronger. I need to do more scary things.

Good luck in your own place! Love the moby pic, and maybe our girls can play together when I come out some time!

So glad to get an update. I’ve been wondering about you, but trying not to check your blog all the time, now that I know you can see how many times I check up on you!

I meant to ask where Richard was…..my brother-in-law is also at Fort Jackson for basic! He is only a few weeks ahead of Richard, will graduate August 5. Maybe you can ask him if they’ve met (possibly at church on Sundays). His name is Mark Bailey, and he is going in as a specialist, playing in the Utah army band (I don’t know all the technical terms of the military). I’ll ask Mark if he’s crossed paths with Richard! Hope you’re hanging in there! What a great birthday present to go to his graduation!

Oh I just want to hug and kiss all over Maren! She looks like such a doll in that picture. Our clan loves “Are you my mother.” Kaman read that to Peyton his first night home from the hospital (voices and all) and I swear Peyton rolled his eyes at him.;) So excited that you get to go and see Richard, so bummed that I’m no longer there so that you could have come to my house for family day (the 27th) and you and the girls could have stayed with us instead of being in a hotel….oh well such is life. (Actually I can find you someone to stay with if you need it while there and don’t want to stay in a hotel. But then again you might enjoy the privacy of a hotel. I could find you a car to use too…and a ride from the airport….Just let me know.) I wish Richard wanted to do Engineering – then you’d have to come to Ft. Leonard Wood and you would be by us…. ;) Hey I can wish can’t I!! Love to all!
